Come Alongside New Churches in Africa

Native missionaries drove through heavy rains to meet with villagers in a remote area who had only recently begun to regularly meet together. But their meeting place was beneath a tree, and on this day, the downpour pushed everyone into a small house nearby where the missionaries used the book of Philemon to discuss the importance of house churches such as theirs. “There are so many needs among the people, but they had joy on their faces because of the love of Jesus and what He has done for them,” the ministry leader said. Funds enable native ministries to support church plants across the region. Pray for these groups of believers as they fellowship together.

Minister To Young Adults in Kyrgyzstan

A teenage boy attended a weekly outreach event for teens organized by a local ministry because it seemed like a fun way to pass the time. Each Saturday, the ministry rented a soccer field for the teens to play soccer together. Then, they came together at church to sing, fellowship, and talk about God. The boy was one of 20 teens who regularly attended, and soon, God began to move in his heart. Three years later, he was baptized. Now, he is part of a leadership group that works with teens and young people. Your gift of $30 or $60 helps fund outreach events such as these. Pray for teens to turn their hearts toward Christ.

Assist With Community Evangelism in the Philippines

Native missionaries established a friendship with the leader of a local tribe, which enabled them to conduct door-to-door evangelism throughout the community. Many people chose to follow Christ, and the next day, the missionaries organized a fellowship with all the new believers. “Lord willing, a regular Bible study and worship service will be conducted there,” the ministry leader said. Christian workers continue to see the fruit of their evangelism efforts as more and more people are accepting Christ during their house-to-house outreach. Donations help in these evangelism endeavors. Pray that the Holy Spirit will lead many souls to Christ.

Support Bible Translation in Mexico

A man who did not believe in Jesus discovered his wife’s audio Bible translated into their native language, and when he listened to the story of Jonah, his heart was changed. “His eyes filled with tears because God had spoken to him personally and in his language,” the ministry leader said. “We believe that the translated Word is the one that is transforming the lives of the people in our communities, and that one day, just like this man, everyone can come to repentance with God.” Donations of $32 and $64 support ministries in their Biblical translation work. Pray that Christian workers will persevere in this important service for the kingdom.

Share Jesus With Disheartened People in North Africa

When refugees flooded the region, many businesses inflated their prices. A native ministry stepped in, providing free supplies and taking a group of refugees on a short boat trip where they shared the gospel and taught them about their new city. During a six-month period, the ministry assisted 2,300 refugees with transportation and 890 with short-term accommodations. “Everyone tried to exploit us and take from us the little we have left,” said one refugee. “Only the Church was there and provided for our needs for free.” Donations of $25 or $50 help Christian workers advance the gospel. Pray that the hope of Christ will fill the hearts of those who hear His story.

Encourage Family Unity in Iran

A young woman went with her sister to a church member’s house one evening determined to discover why her sister’s behavior had changed. While there, the owner of the house presented her with a Bible, and the woman’s eyes immediately filled with tears. “For years I have been looking for a sign of Christ in my real life,” she said. After a two-hour gospel conversation, the woman was baptized in the bathtub. “From now until the end of my life I put my whole life in the way of Christ,” she said afterward. Your gifts support evangelism needs. Pray that relationships among family and neighbors might help guide people toward belief in Christ.

Support House Church Growth in South Asia

Because of increasing restrictions and persecution, native ministries rely more on house churches for evangelism and discipleship of new believers. Christian workers from one ministry visited several house churches and were encouraged by the people’s faith and testimonies. “It is also found that the house fellowships are grown up spiritually and strong in their faith in Christ, amidst increasing opposition,” the ministry leader said. “Believers regularly gather for fellowship, breaking the bread, and teaching of the Word, and also witnessing the Lord’s name in and through their lives.” Your gifts support the growth of house churches such as these. Pray for believers who face increasing hostility to Christianity.

Refresh Missionaries With Peace Of Christ in Indonesia

The leader of a native ministry travels on his motorcycle through villages tucked into the mountains and through cities and towns to preach in the name of Jesus and to train new believers as Christian leaders. Some of the places in which he and his team work have been devastated by natural disasters such as floods and volcanic eruptions. Other places are predominately Muslim. Yet, this team perseveres in their evangelism and discipleship. “I must try to have strong will or desire in bravery for the glory of my Lord Jesus Christ’s name,” the ministry leader said. Funds of $60 or $120 help support Christian workers to evangelize in these difficult places. Pray for their safety as they preach.

Share Jesus’s Mercy With Refugees in Greece

A refugee sought help from a native ministry because she needed a place to stay and because she had psychiatric issues and needed medical help. Ministry workers placed her in short-term accommodations and eventually into a refugee camp. Their service to refugees also includes the distribution of food, diapers, clothes, and shoes, and they help people go through the proper immigration process. “Through humanitarian aid the Lord opens up ways for us to minister to these people and many have come to know the Lord as their personal Savior,” the ministry leader said. Donations of $35 or $70 are needed to care for refugees. Pray that the gospel message will bring them joy.

Comfort The Weary in Burundi

During an evangelism event, a homeless man asked the missionaries for prayer. They learned he fled his home as a child after he witnessed gunmen kill his family. The missionaries prayed for him and gave him a Bible, then they took him for a haircut and bought him new clothes. Later, the pastor of the local church met with him and brought him to Christ. One year later, the young man was baptized and now serves as an usher in the church while also attending a Bible training school. Donations of $25 or $50 support missionaries as they evangelize and provide comfort to the lost. Pray for new believers as they grow in their faith.
